I use a variety of good fats, trying to ingest at least 4 tablespoons of coconut oil daily but also using butter, olive oil, and lard for some things as well. I also try to take a tablespoon of cod liver oil daily.
I try to avoid junk food or make my own more nutritious substitutes. Granola bars are easy to make---rolled oats, raisins, peanut or other nut butter, honey, sunflower seeds, unsweetened coconut flakes, coconut oil and you can even add chocolate chips if you like. My husband loves them. I have lots of coconut oil recipes that I have put into a word document file, quite a few of them desserts. If you'd be interested in them I could email them to you and anyone else interested. They give proper credit to the individuals who have concocted them and I have tried many of them with delicious results. :)
