Re: Is Wilderness Family Naturals CO Organic?

Most all coconuts are grown organically so it is usually not a concern. They grow so well by themselves that there is really no need for pesticides, watering, or virtually any other care. It is the method in which they are processed that will be your main point in searching for a coconut oil. You do not want one that is processed using dried copra. Generally that means it has been sun dried and already started to mold, not desireable.

I know WFN's previous centrifuge supplier was certified organic as well as Kosher for cleanliness, centrifuge is the cleanest way to process coconut oil. As for their new supplier I do not know of the certifications, but you can call WFN I'm sure and they could inform you about it. Annette is most helpful!! I learned so much by visiting with her before I first purchased from them. I am a very curious person by nature so I had a lot of questions. :) She took the time to answer them all and was very knowledgeable. WFN's Phillipine oil is certified organic and I believe kosher too. They are certified by industries over there, it takes about three years to be certified by the organization that the US will recognize--which is just all politics there. Hope that was helpful?
