Juicing with NT?
I've philosophically accepted Price's work regarding whole foods vs. foods of commerce. I've pretty much accepted Fallon's work in interpretting Price's work and applying it to recipes, cooking, and food rules. One of the lingering questions I've had relates to juicing.
Certainly the peoples that price studies 70-80 years ago did not have a juicer on their kitchen counter top. The proportion of plant to animal food varied dramatically amongst the different people Price studies. The common thread was that whole unprocessed foods produced outstanding health and the processed foods of commerce produced poor health. What about juice from a juicer?
I've personally witnessed healing "miracles" occur with people's use of a juicer and
Dr. Schulze 's Incurables program. Schulze acknowledges that
juicing isn't natural, but then says that neither is the world in which we live. I've arrived at a philosophical juncture that agrees with Schulze on this point. I think that the world around us is so polluted, our soils (even many organic soils) are so depleted and our lives are so full of stress that concentrating many of the nutrients in fresh raw juice may be a beneficial thing. Sally, Byrne, and Mercola would all point people away from fruit juices, even fresh raw juice. Mercola thinks vegetable juice is great, but Sally and Byrne say little if anything about it.
I think Schulze's vegan focus is great in the short term for cleansing and specific healing practices. Sally acknowledges this point in NT. In the long-term I think that CLEAN animal fats and proteins are a requirement for health for most people. There are simply too many nutrients that are not readily available in plant foods to stick with the pure vegan routine indefinitely.
What are your thoughts about using a juicer in a NT oriented diet?
