Primarin, fatty liver, and gallbladder polyp

Hello, Andreas,

My doctors are saying I should have my gallbladder out due to a 5mm polyp. What do you see as the cause of such a polyp? I am 59 years old and have been having IBS and nondigested food for 20 years. The polyp was not present in a 1996 ultrasound, but showed up in the summer of 2001. A recent ultrasound shows only a small change. I was diagnosed with a "fatty liver" at age 39, at which time I was asked whether I drank a lot of alcohol. Both then and now, I have only an occasional glass of wine. However, I was on Premarin from age 30 to age 39. (I was told to discontinue the Premarin upon discovery of the fatty liver.) Can Premarin cause a fatty liver? It is unknown whether I had fatty liver before taking Premarin, but always followed a very moderate balanced diet that did include animal protein, but, no extremes or heavy eating.
