Re: Kombucha Tea and Candida
Hello Jackdaw,
I hope that you had an enjoyable Holiday Season, too, and thanks for your input on green tea.
Through the Kombucha exchange I was able to locate a lady in Toronto who has been using kombucha successfully for a number of years. She received her original culture from Guenther Frank, the author of "Kombucha, healthy beverage and natural remedy from the Far East". She told me that she uses a ratio of 2 parts green tea to 1 part black tea, and in summertime adds a German fruit/herbal tea combination to make a very tasty refreshing drink. I also did more research and read that some people use only green tea, and some use a combination of green and rooibos tea.
I picked up my "kombucha puppy" with plenty of starter liquid yesterday and started it last night, with mostly green tea, some oolong (which supposedly has caffein, but on the weaker side) . It got it's home in a spare bathroom where I closed the door over night so heat from the outlet stays in and keeps it nice and warm. I am looking forward to experimenting, once I got the basics under my belt. Will let you know how my first batch turns out....
A bit off the subject, but still on the subject of health.... about 3 weeks ago I started taking Chlorella powder, 3/4 tsp in glass of water or juice, 3x a day 1/2 hour before meals. I AM SOOOO ENERGIZED, I FEEL LIKE I AM FLYING! Noticed the difference already after 3 days. I have never noticed such a profound effect with anything else, ever. I had to cut down on the dosage, or else I'd be up and working and playing day and night.....
