IMPORTANT is kefir safe for babies and toddlers?

I thought that it was not alcoholic if not overfermented, and I have just discovered yhet it is always a bit alcoholic instead. My daughter has been drinking it daily since she was 1 yr. I am somewhat worried. any info appreciated
