7 Day Rapid Weight Loss Diet
This diet is from the Sacred Heart Memorial Hospital and is used for heart patients who need to loose weight rapidly before surgery.
The seven-day eating plan may be used as often as you like. As a matter of fact, if correctly followed it will clean your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well being as never before.
After only days of this process you will begin to feel lighter by at least 10
pounds and have an abundance of energy. Continue this plan as long as you wish and feel the difference.
This diet is a fast, fat-burning diet and the secret is that you will burn more calories than you take in. The diet does not lend itself to drinking any alcohol beverages at any time because of removal of fat building up your system. Go off the diet at least 24 hours before intake of alcohol.
Because everyone's digestive system is different, this diet will affect everyone differently. On day three you will have more energy than when you began, if you don't cheat. After being on the diet for several days you will find that your bowel movements change. Eat a cup of bran fibre. Although you can have black coffee with this diet you may find that you don't need caffeine after the third day.

The basic fat burning soup may be eaten at any time when you feel hungry. Eat as much as you wish at any time. This soup will not add calories; eat all you want, the more you eat the more you loose.
Any prescribed medication will not hurt you on this diet. Continue the plan as long as you wish and see the difference both mentally and physically. If you prefer you may substitute boiled ham or chicken for beef on one day only. You need the high protein in the beef on the other day.
BASIC FAT BURNING SOUP.
1 LARGE BUNCH OF SPRING ONIONS
2 PEPPERS
2 LARGE CANS OF TOMATOES
1 HEAD OF CELERY
1 LARGE GREEN CABBAGE (WHITE IF NOT AVAILABLE)
1 PACKET OF FRENCH ONION SOUP (OR SPRING VEGETABLE)
OXO CUBES (OPTIONAL)
CLOVES OF GARLIC (OPTIONAL)
BAY LEAVES (OPTIONAL)
Cut vegetables into small pieces; put all vegetables (except tomatoes) into a large saucepan, cover with water and boil fast for 10 minutes. Reduce heat and simmer for approximately 30 minutes until vegetable is tender. Add tomatoes and juice, bring to the boil and heat thoroughly. Add soup mix and simmer for approximately 10 minutes. May be seasoned with salt, pepper, parsley, curry etc to taste. (Add extra cabbage and tomatoes if desired)
YOU MAY ADD OTHER VEGETABLE IF DESIRED - BUT NO PULSES.
7-DAY DIET PLAN
DAY 1 All fruit except bananas. Your first day will consist of as much fruit as you can eat (except bananas). Cantaloupes and watermelons are lower in calories. East your soup and fruit on the first day. For drinks, unsweetened tea, cranberry juice, black coffee or water.
DAY 2 All vegetables. Eat until you are stuffed with all the fresh, raw or cooked vegetables of your choice. Try to eat leafy green vegetables and stay away from dry beans, peas and corn. Eat all the vegetables you want along with your soup. At dinner you may reward yourself with a baked potato, but NO butter. Eat all the soup you want but don't eat any fruit.
Day 3 Mix day one and two. East all the soup, vegetable and fruit you want. You cannot have a baked potato today. NOTE: If you have eaten for the three days as above and not cheated, you will find you have lost 7 pounds
Day 4 Bananas and skimmed milk. Eat as many as 8 bananas and drink as many glasses of skimmed milk as you can on this day along with your soup. Bananas are high in calories and carbohydrates and so is the milk, but on this particular day your body will need the potassium and carbohydrates protein and calcium to lessen the craving for sweets.
Day 5 Chicken or Beef and tomatoes. You may have 10-12
ounces of beef and a can of tomatoes, or as many as 6 fresh tomatoes today. Try to drink at least 6-8 glasses of water to wash out the uric acid from your body. Eat you soup at least once today.
Day 6 Beef and vegetables. Eat to your hearts content on beef and vegetables today. You may have 2 or 3 steaks with as much vegetable as you can manage. BUT NO BAKED POTATO. Remember your soup at least once today.
Day 7 Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juice and vegetable. Again stuff, stuff, stuff yourself. Be sure you eat your soup at least once today.
At the end of the seventh day if you have not cheated on the above you will find you have lost between 10 and 17 pounds. If you have lost more than 15
pounds stay off the diet for at least 2 days before you resume it.
Suggestions
1. Make enough soup to last 3-4 days and then make a fresh amount
2. Start the diet on Tuesday this way you can eat the beef on Sunday with the rest of the family.
