Painful bump in bikini area, please help

I had this painful bump where my panty line rests, closer to the leg, not quite the bikini area. It was a solid bump. At one point it started to ooze a white liquid, and then it started to ooze blood. This happened for a long period of time. I would cover it up with a bandaid, in order to stop the seam of my underwear from causing friction. I also put some neosporin on it. At one point the bump opened up, and it kept oozing blood. The sore was becomimg bigger. Eventually, the sore closed, and left an ugly purple/ black scar. I have an olive/ ivory skin tone. It has been a couple of months since this happened. The other day I was walking on the treadmill, and I felt my panty line digging into my bikini line. Now, another painful bump has formed. I am scared that the same thing will happen. I don't want another ugly black scar. I'm a virgin, so this is not something that I could have contracted from anyone. I'm not sure if it is a cyst, or follicolitis. Help!
