Can massage help or hurt Macular Degeneration?

My family has a strong history of macular degeneration and atrophy of the macula, that until recent treatments lead to nearly complete blindness. I see spots, and wavy lines that are supposed to be straight, so I going to get my self checked out.
I realized these were serious symptoms and I was at risk when I started writing my pathology report for Massage Therapist Training.
So far in my research I haven't found anything but curezone that has come close to help me decide what I can do or should not do to help my grandma, my mother, and myself using my skills. I want specific information about the effects of circulatory massage, lymph drainage and other healing modalites on macular degeneration.
