Is it possible for a child to have clamidia and a parent not know it?

I was just diagnosed as having clamydia. Is it possible that i could've had this for years and not known. I have been married for three and a half years and have not been with anyone since i got married and neither has my husband. is it possible that i could have given this to my kids and they not show any symptoms? If it is how do i get them tested and what would they do to test them? Could they give them medication? Should i have them tested just to be safe? Is it possible that when i was pregnant and tested for STD's that my test read negitive and i really had it how often does that happen? Thanks
