Definitely you want to move in the direction of healing as opposed to suppression; therefore you may want to keep your appointment with the Chinese herbalist to at least hear what he or she has to say. I've never had experience with a Chinese herbalist; however, I am impressed with their approach towards disease because their methods seem to address the core root issues naturally, as opposed to suppression of symptoms through harmful medications that produce multiple side effects. Don't miss your appointment. At least hear what he or she has to say.
I would hate to think that I turned you from the connection to your healing, when my goal was to point you in the direction of your healing.
