4 flushes - no help yet - need advice!
Hi,
I'm new to this forum, but I've been trying to solve my health puzzle since 1997. To cut to the chase - I have a magnesium deficiency which doesn't seem to correct itself despite taking gobs of magnesium. Also, I have poor fat digestion - I actually suspect that the poor fat digestion is a huge factor in the mag. deficiency.
Anyway, my symptoms related to fat digestion include:
1) light colored stools
2) constant poor sleep - could be the mag. deficiency only, but the poor fat digestion may be an important part of the mag. deficiency
3) when I eat fatty foods, such as nut butters, I require about 1 week to recover - initially, my sleep becomes much worse, the following few days, the brain fog is life-stopping. Also, my stool color becomes very pale and by day 2-3, I may even get loose stools. During this time, my stools are especially odorous, too.
4) in general, when I feel badly, my digestion is poor also - this is quite common for days to weeks after one of these situations that I describe above.
If I avoid fats - nuts, nut butters, butter, olive oil, any/all oils, even avocados bug me, then eventually, I'll have a few good days.
For quite a while, I have thought that gall bladder/liver dysfunction has been a problem. Of course, I cleaned up my diet and colon in the beginning - 1997. I've recently been working on improving my mineral balance - but despite this, I still am very intolerant of fats. And, I still can't get my magnesium levels up.
Over the past two years, I've done a total of 4 gall bladder flushes. The first one produced nothing - not even the soft floating balls that are probably just saponified olive oil. The last three produced these saponifed green balls, but I never saw any hard gall stones. The last flush - done about 8 months ago did result in darker stool color. But, I have never seen any of my other symptoms improve - especially not my intolerance for fats.
Please, am I on the right track?? What am I doing wrong - i.e. what do I need to do to make the gall bladder flush actually expel gall stones?? I can't do the apple juice version - so I do only the massive olive oil/lemon juice drink the night of the flush.
In case it matters - I'm a 40-yr. old female whose grandmother had gall bladder problems. I did a low, low fat diet (high carb.) for a few years, and I'm certain that this didn't help my situation.
I'd appreciate any suggestions.
