Re: Undiagnosed- See if you can help

Hello jujubean,

Unfortunately because you've become so frustrated with the medical system and the lack of success that you've had regarding diagnosis and healing of the symptoms that have presented themselves to you; by the time you come across those that could actually help you, you may be turned off from possible suggestions for help and quickly dismiss some things (like diet) to be a non-issue. I understand your frustrations; however, I would hate to see you miss out on the very thing or things that could bring your healing due to your previous frustrations. I said all that to say this, don't be too quick to dismiss the information that 'beads' has given you.

Here's why: based upon your description (and sight unseen), you have described 'dermatitis', or as it is most commonly known, 'eczema'. Eczema or dermatitis refers to skin conditions where inflammation is evident. The key characteristics of dermatitis (eczema) are inflammation, a rash (dry flaky skin w/blisters), redness (erythema), and itching (pruritus). Types of eczema are atopic dermatitis, allergic contact eczema, contact eczema, dyshidrotic eczema, neurodermatitis, nummular eczema, seborrheic eczema, and stasis dermatitis. From your descriptiion, four possible candidates for an even more specific diagnosis would be atopic dermatitis, allergic contact eczema, contact eczema, or nummular eczema. The questions that 'beads' asked you, helps to determine more specifically the type of eczema that you have. In any case, the eczema is pointing to a problem with your immune health. What you do or don't eat or drink plays a significant role in your immune health.

Three factors have to be considered in order to successfully heal the skin of eczema: internal (immune health), external (skin care), and foreign (allergen/irritant identification). Internal refers to restoring the health to the immune system through cleansing/good nutrition. External refers to rehydration and restoration of the skin's moisture barrier with the implementation of natural vitamin/mineral enriched skin care that will work with the natural chemistry of the skin to promote healing. Foreign refers to identification of the allergen/irritant for the purpose of ridding it (culprit for breakout) from the individual's environment where possible. Implementing just one part of the three part system for healing the skin of eczema without addressing the other two, leads to frustration and no lasting success. This has been the case for you; and is the reason you would dismiss diet or nutritional intake as an issue. Especially since you noted that despite your cleansing efforts (liver and bowel) and healthy Diet change, you haven't witnessed any real improvement. In essence, your good steps towards healing have been countered or contradicted by the absence of a skin care regimen that will benefit the needs of your sensitive skin; and, by the remaining presence of an allergen/irritant (foreign instigator) that has not yet been identified.

There is an instigator to the flareups. Toxins are released out of the body through the urine, bowels, and skin. An abundance of toxins in the bloodstream are evident in the manifestations of eczema flareups on the skin. Eliminating those toxins from your body is a good thing. The key is in knowing how to treat your skin after this occurs, and how to restore the health to your immune system as a result. You can also make a hypothesis that as you are doing a flush (the purpose of which is to rid the toxins from the body), manifestations of the toxic release may be witnessed on the skin as well. It is important to remember that when an individual embarks on the journey of cleansing and detoxifying the body that the individual remembers the equally important part to the process of replenishing the vitamins and minerals that may be flushed in the process as well.

I can help you in trying to determine the more specific eczema that you may have and even provide you with options for skin care. Beads has also offered you advice regarding specific skin care that would bring about healing to your skin. It is evident that you are frustrated with the system and probably tired of the questions; therefore I will only offer up any more information upon your request. Hopefully, you were open to hear what I have spoken and will soon find your healing, irregardless of the frustrations. The hope for your healing is very real.
