I saw someone asking about how to make good oatmeal. I cook either oats (slow cooking kind) or oat bran (or a combination of the two). I add celtic Sea Salt . After it is cooked I add 1/2 teas. cinnamon, coconut oil or butter, a tablespoon or less of freshly ground flaxseed (I grind it in my coffee grinder and keep enough in a small container for a few days or week). I sweeten it with either xylitol or stevia, add a little kefir or yogurt. Then add any fruit that you like- banana, blueberries, rasperries, strawberries, peaches or applesauce, or apples. After adding all these things I rewarm it in the mircro for a few minutes. It sounds like alot of work, but I have this down to making it in minutes. You can get creative and add any combination of things that are tasty and healthy.
