Have not heard back from V. as yet.
The seller did respond, though, amongst other things said:
"Whether you want to call them new
or not depends on your definition of 'new'. They seem
to be homemade items, so they came to me in the state
they were in - the silver wires are not totally
straight, and the godzilla plastic unit is not large
enough to fit all the 9V batteries and close
completely with the screw in place. So I guess you
could call them "new", since I guess most poeple
receive these units with these types of flaws in the
units sent".
Seems the person is honest and a bit disappointed, should have contacted V. about the flaws. As a second owner I won't be able to. Regardless, it seems the plastic case cannot be closed. Well, what do ya say? A good price if one is willing to put up with the flaw?
