If all you want to do is find the frequency, you can go to Radio Shack and buy a Digital Multimeter that also reads the frequency. I have one that I use. I can set it to read the voltage output of the Zapper, which is between 4 to 5 volts dc, and the frequency reads between 29.9 to 34.0 Khz at the same time. If you can't or don't want to buy one, maybe you could go the Radio Shack with your Zapper and they will let you try it in the store to see that it is working properly.
