Re: waking up to urinate 2-5 times a night= Kidneys
Hi Sandibean.
Waking up two to five times a night is probably kidney related. I would start with a
Bowel Cleanse followed by a kidney cleanse. I had the same problem and followed Hulga Clark's protocol and started seeing results right away. I'm sure Dr. Schultz would work great too. And the neat thing about Dr. Shultz is that is you can get it sent right to you. I had difficulty finding several of the items on Dr. Clark's cleanse (and I live in San Francisco-- I should be able to find most anything), one was old when I did find it. I couldn't find hydrochloric acid or magnesium oxide. So I did it without those two ingredients, and I also added Dr. Shultz's potassium broth recipe from his
kidney cleanse to it. My kidneys improved in almost no time and I am sleeping through the night on a regular basis now. I also did a liver cleanse-- which was great!! And now I will go back to kidneys and then do another liver cleanse in two weeks.
You are right about a
parasite cleanse helping though, but I'd do bowel and kidney strengthening first, because die off can be hard on kidneys who are already overworked.
Oh! One thing you could try right away is
Celery seed tea. You get
Celery seed (organic) at the health food store and one take one tablespoon of the whole seeds, whiz it in the blender, and then pour 2 cups boiling water over it and let it steep till it is cool. You can do this up to three times a week. But it is really effective and should be used carefully because over doing it can have opposite of the desired effect. I started out with the
Celery Seed Tea even slower than that dose, and only until I got my other herbs together.
If you follow the cleanse link at the top of this page you can find info on all of these Kidney cleanses.
Re: you Atkins diet-- glad for you that you lost weight. However, a diet high in fat and proteins is particularly hard on the liver and kidneys respectively.
You can find out more about hazzards of the Atkins diet on the link below. You have to read fairly far down though to get to where it talks about the risk to kidneys.
Anyhow best wishes. I hope you find something that works for you. I know how truely annoying it is to have to wake up and go that many times a night. But I'm starting to forget. whoo hoo!
