Re: Okay, good point...

Agreed that forgiveness is not a sign of weakness, but consider the words of God:

Ezekiel 3:17-19
“Son of man, I have appointed you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you must give them a warning from me. If I say to the wicked, “You will certainly die,” and you do not warn him—you do not speak out to warn him to turn from his evil conduct so that he may live—that wicked person will die for his iniquity, but I will hold you accountable for his death. But if you warn the wicked and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil conduct, he will die for his iniquity and you will have saved your own life."

We are obligated to be "salt and light" to the world, and as Christians we are all commanded to proclaim the Gospel. This includes warnings to the lost, as per the examples of Jesus, his disciples, and the first post-Pentecost believers, many of whom were martyred. Paul spent a great deal of time combating the errors that even then were sneaking into the young church. Yes, he was very tender to the humble, but very harsh to the proud and hostile.

God hates injustice and falsehood, and so do I. To keep silent when lies are being manufactured at a furious pace would be a great sin on my part. I must not commit this sin of omission.
