Re: How does abuse by Catholic and Protestant compare?

What made the Roman Catholic child abuse situation so much worse is the fact that abusive priests were protected by the church. First, most catholics wouldn't dare expose an abusive situation and second, abusers were moved to other churches when someone would dare to tell on a priest. Catholic children are told over and over that God speaks through the prist and to question a priest is to question God. Priests have a lot of control over the parishioners. This is why it is such a big deal that some priests are threatening John Kerry and any one who votes for him by withholding communion. Does any one really think Jesus would approve of GW Bush?
