Matthew 28:18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

This last command of Jesus, known as the Great Commission, is one reason why we 'feel responsible for everyone's salvation'. We are commanded to proselytise by God Himself. To fail to do this is to disobey God.

The other reason is hell. Literally. We don't want you to go there. The Bible says it's a real place of eternal torment, a fate we don't want anyone to have. But no one can avoid going there unless they accept the Gospel message, which is that the only way to escape your destiny in hell is to accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord.

As I explained in another post, it is NOT LOVING to fail to warn the lost that they are in great danger. That's our motivation-- we care. But you'll never come to God on his terms if you don't think you're in any danger, so that's what we concentrate on. Tweet
