That is sad.
We (notice I said 'we' that includes me) need to be followers of Jesus Christ. That includes the fact that we must also become His servents and obey and live in God's Word.
1 Corinthians 1:10-17
10I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought. 11My brothers, some from Chloe's household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. 12What I mean is this: One of you says, "I follow Paul"; another, "I follow Apollos"; another, "I follow Cephas "; still another, "I follow Christ."
13Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul? 14I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15so no one can say that you were baptized into my name. 16(Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don't remember if I baptized anyone else.) 17For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel--not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.
1 Corinthians 1
23So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are offended, and the Gentiles say it's all nonsense. 24But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles,[1] Christ is the mighty power of God and the wonderful wisdom of God. 25This "foolish" plan of God is far wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God's weakness is far stronger than the greatest of human strength.
Notice God calls us to salvation, He does this through His Holy Spirit. Through the Holy Spirit's promptings we come to Jesus to ask forgiveness of our sins. God never, ever takes that way or suddenly chooses that you are not called to be saved.
God gave us the gift of redemption for us all to partake and come to know him. IT IS FOR EVERYONE - THERE IS NO "ELECT". Only we can choose {as we still fall short} if we want to "back slide and no longer live for and serve Christ.
God never takes back His gifts.
