Hi Ted et al,
A rebounder is a small trampoline about 42
inches across. One does not
"jump" on this machine, just get a gentle bounce started without leaving the
rebounder.
It will put one up and down about 100 times a minute. Each reversal of
direction, either when at the top or bottom of the bounce, will put tension
on every cell in one's body.
According to Al Carter, this "cell excercise" is what is important for
healthy cells and health in general.
Just as importantly, this "bouncing" increases the flow of the lymphatic
fluids, where the disease fighting T Cells are, about 30 times faster than
normal. This results in getting the dead cells and poisens out of the body
through the lymph glands more efficiently.
I got mine in the summer of 1991 and used it religiously for about 5 years
then got away from it and am using it again. I believe it really helps
fight cancer or any disease.
I have had colds get started and put my rebounder in the living room and
anytime I got up to go to the bathroom I would bounce about 5 minutes.
By morning the cold would be blunted and continuing for a day would greatly
reduce the total effect of the cold.
There is a website, www.healthbounce.com that can lead to more info.
When I got mine it was something like $179.00. I figured at the time that
if it gave me five extra days my extra retirement income would pay for it so
in the long run it was free. The ones like mine are fairly expensive but
high in quality.
There are cheaper ones that probably would do the trick.
