AAAHHHH...baby eczema

Ive posted before about my 7 month sons eczema that he's had from about 2 months. I have been grateful for Auntyt's and others words of wisdom and followed some...with mixed results. Im continuing to read and do my own reseach but am feeling frustraed and overhwlemed...and so bad when I see my son scratching. I breastfed from his birth and have just about weaned him. Although I was breastfeeding, I have always supplemented one nighttime feeding with formula--similac advance with iron. I saw his first flare up at about 2 months and have tried different things since.....was relieved by immediate relief of 1% hydrocort a few times a week, but soon realized the viscious cycle and am fearful of side effects.. tried aquaphor, not much help. switched to soy formula (retirned to work when he was 3 months and couldnt pump enough) hoping for a difference.....flare ups have been on and off. Im vegetarian, eating significant dairy, wheat, eggs etc...all of which i know are potential allergens...as well as soy. i statred keeping a log of all im etating and noah...couldnt find allergen. i started him on solids at about 5 months...doing one food at a time...noticed skin worse with bananas and yogurt...he can eat most other veggies and fruits..i want to raise him veg but am worried about protein if he wont be able to tolerate dairy, soy, etc, what do i do about formula if hes possible allergic to both dairy & soy? is there goats formula??? other???

ive tried different things with bathing...someone recommended Sea Salt baths with no soap..has anyone tried???? im using burts lotion...at first seemed much better but now no. i figured weaning him would help rule out allergies he mmight be getting from me. im single, working full time..so hard to eliminate those foods from my diet....

what have people tried with topical or oral treatment with herebs...ive read a lot but am nervous because he's an infant????
primrose oil??? calendula??? chlorophyll???witch hazel???

Im feeling kind of helpless...any words of wisdom would be appreciated..thanks
