There is a new ginseng product that is now available in North America for the first time. Here is the history of this product.

Panax Ginseng roots have been prepared in a traditional way for hundreds of years. They were heated to a very high temperature to dry them so they would keep (like beef jerky) for a long time without spoiling. They recognized that heating to a high temperature destroyed some constituents of the root, so they reconstituted it with an array of traditional Chinese herbs. A fully mature Panax Ginseng root contains over 400 constituents which includes natural "pesticides" which the plant produces for its own protection. Eighteen years ago, a man named Dr. He-Shun Li realized that this plant was supposed to fullfil a greater purpose than it was at that time. He believed that he could use it to help many more people. He assembled a group of 40 Chinese Medical practioners, founded a research institute in China and began to extensively research Korean-Chinese ginseng. The result was the development of a series of patent-pending processes that permits the processing of the ginseng at a uniform temperature of 28 degrees C as opposed to the usual temperature required to process ginseng of about 120 degrees C. This low temperature process preserves the original constituents of the ginseng. This meant that they had overcome the destruction of constituents from the high heat, but still had some toxic constituents and some that they didn't know what their purpose was. The next step involved developing a process to extract all known toxic substances and some unknown ones from the ginseng root. From 400 constituents, they removed all but 168 known constituents. The final step was the development of a way to make the ginseng easy to use. The result was a process that atomizes the ginseng to a concentration of 4 times. That is, a 150 gram container contains the constituents from 600 grams of pure Panax Ginseng concentrated to 150g. Each of these processes have a patent-pending because they represent scientific breakthroughs.
