I wholeheartedly agree with you on the dubious reliability of distributors testing their own merchandise. I was about to post that when I read what you wrote. As well as Rusfox's experiment, due to her having used two body fluids instead of a more neutral medium. In the best case scenario these pads could adsorb toxins from these, as well as the sweat from the feet.
However, as far as the quick fix, I for one am interested in the pads as an adjunct to a variety of other methods, none of which sauna is the least. I think by now most of us have found out that there is no particular magic bullet, and this one (the pads) is just one more thing in a list of many. For me, if it accomplishes some degree of detoxification while I'm in dreamland, then they will have been worth it.
