OR Re: vaccinations
It's possible he just heard the info somewhere, and it as either faulty, or he remembered it wrongly. Like the telephone game. Not intentional. Then again, maybe it was, I don't know.
My aunt had a baby about 6 weeks ago. She's staying home with her "until she gets her shots." My aunt's a nurse, by the way. It just makes me sad. Also, apparently the baby was colicky? on breastfeeding so they switched to soy formula, which is working out pretty well. I don't know how that could be possible! I don't have children but I assume even if the baby was having problems on breast milk, I'd just keep on. My grandmother asked me (in their presence) "wasn't soy milk the best?" and I had to say "WHOA, no comment there!" because I wasn't sticking my toe into THAT bed of snakes! Don't make your relatives feel bad when they definitely aren't going to change. Oh, and my uncle was downing a lot of splenda and equal, etc. I am considering slowly trying to educate him on their dangers via e-mail. Sigh... just makes me sad... people doing the exact wrong thing, thinking they are taking a pro-active step in their own best interest!
