in the meantime, VH1 tells us "condi" rice is a "sexy woman" because she's "powerful and sits across from the president of the united states"; "people" and "time" magazine put bush, rumsfeld, powell, and rice on the covers naming them "admirable" and "intriguing". we scoff when we hear about the french revolution, and how royalty was found guilty of nothing else but being royal, and guilliotined (at least they GOT a trial...). enemy of the state? damn right we all would be considered that. if someone points a gun and fires at you, will you fire back, given you have a gun? damn right! does that make you an enemy of the person who initiated the gunfire? well, depends on how you look at it. i have to wonder how much longer the american people will continue to live in the dark. even when they do hear stories like padilla's, they usually react by saying "oh, that would never happen to me". but how can they be sure? how much further does this have to go? it's clear to me who the real enemy of the state is - george bush and his cronies. i guess that statement could land ME in jail...
