Re: Was Christy Whitman An Intern? What Credentials?
well, i guess these foul new yorkers are finally getting theirs, right? i mean, if we ought not pontificate any further re. the events of 9/11, why should the clean-up crew be any different? those filthy new yorkers, along with senator clinton, correct, aren't worth the spit to put out the fire on their shirts, so why are you bringing this up? and as far as the victims getting "hundreds of millions of dollars", i can't say for everyone else, but my husband's cousin, who was in charge of the first-responder group on the scene after the first tower was hit is lucky to be alive. he nearly lost his hand to falling debris, and the entire team had to pull out, probably saving theirs & his lives. he's yet to see a penny. if you have any reliable sources that state that all these people have been duly compensated, i'd love to read it. you're right - midwest tornado-struck communities are left with nothing, too, but that doesn't make it right on either count. living in new york should not be equated with assuming or expecting to be hit by terrorists any day. the only thing i' sick & tired of is the contrived way with which the event is remembered - american flags, stickers of flags, pins of flags, and obnoxious stickers with "support our troops" and "these colors don't run". it does nothing for the victims, and a flourish of patriotism in the face of fear and danger and anger does little to quell the certain agony most of the victims likely feel to this day. i don't understand how you can be annoyed at other people's misery. be annoyed with the way it is reported, and at whom reports it. after all, they're the ones creating the way things are presented. facts and opinions can be scewed. just look at the bozo in the white house - he does it on a daily basis. he has abused the constitution and tried to use it to his advantage. does that mean we should resent the constitution itself, or the man behind its false representation?
