why were the 90's successfuL?

A palm reader walked up to me the other day and asked if he could read my palm. No one has ever done a good job on me, but I gave him the go ahead. He nailed me perfectly, and one thing is said is that I don't have a problem changing my political mind if I see proof.
I was a Reagan republican, voted for Bush sr. and Jr.(I fought really hard between gore and bush, obviously I have regrets) During the 90's, I started to pay attention. I observed that the reason the 90's were successful is because the poor were welcomed. They were buying Cell Phone s, computers, shoes and such which benifitied everyone. When the poor have money, all they do is spend it. Please explain to me how that is bad and why the republicans hate that. The rich still got rich. The trickle down makes no sense except for the top 1%.
