Thank you all for sharing your interesting information. I was diagnosed with C-Difficle infection (from Antibiotic use) and now that I am being treated with "Flagil" medication, I am experiencing bm's with long stringy stools, light brown in colour which is really abnormal for me. Quite unhealthy looking.
However, prior to taking Flagil my stools contained mucus and traces of blood as well. This is now gone.

Although I have been on Flagil for a few weeks, some of your comments make me beleive that perhaps a parasitic inefction (worm) may be something for my Dr to consider. I am awaiting results from a second stool culture and should have more info by the end of this week.

Again, your comments were extremely helpful. If anyone is imterested in the findings please advise and I will be happy to advise. Thanks.
