It was at least 18'' long, maybe a little less than 1/2' wide, and flat. (I didn't have a ruler, and I was kind of in shock).It was fairly firm, not at all squishy like mucus. It held its shape when lifed and handled. It was whitish, at one end there was what I assumed was the head, it was a little more bulbous and looked like it had a puckered opening at the very end. The head was covered in mucus, and like I said I was so horrified I did not think to clean it up, save it or anything smart, I just flushed it.
I came back to this site, did a search of images and found a picture of what looked like its head (minus the mucus. Iam still just assuming it was a tapeworm, but the picture pretty well confirmed it in my mind.
BTW-about three days before I passed something similar only more like six inches long. I didn't take time to exaimine it. I'm wondering now if it was another one.
