Are these parasites?

Little bright red things. They look like cut up pieces of jujubees. I can't say I've looked closer, and of course they are partially buried! But where did I get the idea worms would be white....or brown.....or some equally boring color? Other than that - non-digested pieces of red bell pepper from my post MC vegetable soup?

Also little white things that look like ummmm - small pieces of alfafa sprouts?
