I bought her some probiotics but they were in pill form, so I opened up the capsule and sprinkled them on her cereal. I did that a couple of times and was afraid I might be doing something wrong. She was getting a feverish feeling in her forehead with a headache. So I figured I better find stuff formulated for kids.

I have altered our lifestyle somewhat by buying unbleached flour, wheat flour, and organic milk. We had our own duck and guinea eggs for awhile, but they are not laying right now. I try not to buy prepackaged foods. And we've already eliminated soft drinks. It doesn't sound like this is going to be easy to do though, by any means. But, you can get really motivated when it involves your child's health. She's already irritated at me because I nag so much about washing her hands. :-)

When you say you give your kids "olive leaf" mixed with honey, are you using the capsules?

Your comment about the Antibiotics was interesting. My aunt, who is 79 and "very" healthy, kept telling me that she had a lot of urinary infections when she was a child, and that she was given a lot of Antibiotics for that. She couldn't have been given Antibiotics because they weren't tried on the first human until 1941, so they obviously gave her something else. She was born in 1924. She is so healthy it is unbelievable. Her system was already developed before they started putting antibiotics into all the food.

And I have lupus and reactive arthritis. I always thought that the antibotics may have contributed to my decline in health.
