MC and Metro-Gel Vaginal Medication

Hi,
I have had bacterial vaginosis for the past 3 months. My doctor prescribed me Metro-Gel Vaginal (metronidazole vaginal gel) it's an insertion I do at bedtime. Does anyone know if I can use this while doing the master cleanse. My doctor also recommended I take acidophoulous, to help prevent a yeast infection while taking the Metro-Gel, is this something I can do as well?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
