I'm not sure why you think I feel negatively, Ev
I dont myself feel like I do, quite the reverse.
The reason I am not happy about CureZone, is the same reason that I'm not happy about quackwatch. I think both are too extreme.
Like I've tried to say before, its very hard for anyone coming from an American culture to understand that there are places where alternatives and conventional work together, without any animosity.
Where I live, in France, MDs often prescribe alternatives and the national health service - that you dont have over there - pays for those alternative treatments. It goes even further, for example, someone with a gluten problem can claim up to €30 per month towards the additional cost of having to buy gluten free products.
I suppose what I'm really trying to say is that because the US has a lousy medical system, which rates low on every world survey, you shouldn't automatically condemn every conventional practice in the world.
I'm not sure, but I think you are saying that "newbies" to CureZone will join the anti-conventional medicine route. Personally, I wonder why there are so few "newbies". It is not unusual to see 1000, even 2000+ people viewing CureZone, yet - if you observe for 1 hour, during those peak times, you will find perhaps 20 posts. That is a miniscule proportion, especially as several of those posts will be from long termers. I wonder how many "lurkers" are put off posting because of the extreme anti attitude to conventional medicine.
I think (but then I would, wouldn't I ;)) that most people are like me; eager to find an alternative, but not able to accept that everything about conventional is EVIL. After all, it would be very hard to find someone who had not been cured of something by conventional medicine.
Off to bed now Ev. Glad you joined in.
