Not interested in fighting

I am not interestedin fighting but would prefer civilised discussion on these topics. However, some people feel that a discussion is not complete unless they post information irrelevant to the topic combined with attacks on the person posting. I would disagree that it is how I am saying things but rather that what I am saying goes counter to some peoples beliefs. While some of their beliefs do not coincide with mine I refrain from making personal attacks because it isn't right to do so and it does not foster a meaningful line of communication and discussion. For example on the vaccination debate forum I thought it was appropriate to express some views that might run counter to others since it is a debate forum and on the FActs, science, Myths If, How and Why things work forum I thought a discussion on how things might work was appropriate...instead for doing so I am labled a troll and called stupid, a pharma plant, a monsanto advocate and all manner of nonsense. If people wish to be treated with respect they should treat others as they would wish to be treated...something I am sure all our mothers taught us long ago!! Tweet
