ok, for your information, maltodextrin is a sugar, produced from a partially hydrolysis of starch, any starch. Not only from corn, it may from tapioca, sago and many plants. It has many advantages, if consumed in appropriate amount. Any foods, if we consumed in large amount, it can be dangerous for our health. To gain our weight, the sources must from carbohydrate (to get enough energy to do work) and from protein (to build new tissues, and of coures a minute of fats. It cannot just from protein. It will lead us to get difficiency in nutrients. Maltodextrin is a good sugars, because it can be easily digest by our body and give fast energy to do work. It become harm if you take in extra ordinary volume. ok...i hope take you all clear about it..bye
