For Ptree

A few weeks ago i read Robert Gray's book again, and he said on page 39 (i got the 12th edition) that the best foods for lactobacteria growth are onion, cabbage, and sun choke (onion being the best one). I just wanted to know if you used any of these, and did you notice anything by taking them. Or would you rather use kefir and other dairy products for this purpose? Right after i read that i started eating half a raw onion a day (i was never eating onion before that). He says that you should eat a whole one daily, but i wanted to start slow. A few days later my eczema on my back cleared up 75% overnight (first time it cleared in 3 and a half years). You think the onion did it? He also says on page 76 that store-bought freeze-dried & liquid acidophilus products are no good. What are your thoughts on this?
