I'm sure Tracey can answer you better but the psyllium I use is powered psyllium seed husk. I add a teaspoon of that slowly to some water (about 10 ounces) mixing quickly as I add it so it doesn't form clumps , then I add my tablespoon of liquid Bentonite, mix quick and chug down. I drink a few gulps of water in between if I feel gag-ish. Then I follow it with another 8-10 ounces of water. I've been taking it on an empty stomach too, at least an hour before or after food but I usually wait 2 hours. Hope that helps some.
