Re: Raw diet and clinical depression

I would recommend "Depression-Free for Life" by Gabriel Cousens, MD. Dr. Cousens actually is a raw foodist, however in this book, he stresses vegetarian more than raw. He addresses different types of depression. I was not clinically depressed, but used his suggestions to relieve the depression I was experiencing. He uses a 5 prong approach which includes fatty acids(omega-3 & 6), supplements, diet, exercise and lifestyle. I have recommended it to students and friends.

Dr. Cousens has another book, called "Conscious Eating" that more directly addresses the raw lifestyle.

Good luck,

Julia
