Fighting a dog- recurrent dream

For the last year, I have had this recurrent dream where I am fighting this mad growling dog for dear life. It is strange, about the time I went to Glastonbury in spring equinox/ solstice I was bitten by this wild dog at a time when I was going through really hard times- a time when I was scared of everyone and everything- and I suppose these wild dogs loved that.

In the dream this time, this wild dog was trying to bite me and terrify me, but this time I was fighting back- giving as good as I got.

Hmmm...I seem to remember that in one of Paulo Coelho's books 'the pilgrimmage' I think, he has a similar struggle with a wolf. I shall have to re read.

Perhaps the dog is symbolic for a part of me that must move on.

I also seem to remember being bitten by dogs when I was young at various times- I know though, I was winding them up as you do when I was a kid.

Well if anyone has any other clues as to what this represents,I'd be pleased to know.
