Since I am affected I had to find out what a polyp is. Basically polyps are growths that appear similar to a mushroom or like a cauliflower for the humours among us. A stem and a small "head". These are most often found in the colon and nose etc. But as I've found out also in the gallbladder. Why they occur Science does not know they can only guess. What Science has found is in the majority the head contains a small cholesterol fragment and are referred to as cholesterol polyps there are some other types too. What becomes scary though is often polyps are a precursor to cancer. The statistics show the rish increases as the polyp increases in size. Apparently over 1cm the risk increases dramatically to 70% of polyps to be cancerous.

Why gallbladders hurt due to polyps Science also does not know. But usually it calls for immediate removal when pain shows up. Polyps are often found by stomach ultrasounds when checking other things, say a pregnancy or ulcers etc. Some research has shown however, that often polyps have been misdiagnosed and they've actually been stones imbedded in the wall of the GB. I was kinda hoping this could be my case and the flushes might dislodge them. But the last US indicated no mobile stones at all still the polyps.
