The sweet tooth is a problem ! I think most people who do well on a low carb diet for blood glucose imbalances have one ! Its part of why we sought the diet out! Although I beleive part of the cravings for sweets may be a craving for good fats!
Avoiding fruits is really only required in the induction phase while trying to attain ketosis(lipolysis) and can be reintroduce as blood Sugar levels normalize! At one time I could not tolerate any fruit but am able to handle fruits as long as I incorporate fat after or with them as in peaches and cream!
Stevia is an excellant product, an herb that I beleive does not act like a carbohydtrate and may be used moderately during the induction phase!
