chronic hives

Hi everyone,

I have read most of the messages posted on this site regarding hives and I am sorry to learn about the sufferings. Its painful as I have had it for almost 10 years now. I see no solution. There is no food allergy as far as I am concerned and have been put on Atrax by my doctor. Taking this medication just helps me deal with it everyday but has not eliminated it at all. If I stop the medication it comes back.

Anyway, just wanted to list my symptoms so that if anyone of you can suggest something other than medication I would like to give it a try. I am just frustrated with all this medication. My hives generaly start after I take dinner and perhaps they stay that way for the entire night only to make things worse in the morning. Then they subside on their own after 10 am and I am fine during the day (it varies also I might also get it during the day). Then it comes back again after dinner. I have no clue whats going on. All the doctors I have seen tell me its stress. I just dont believe it anymore. There has to be a cure....I just want to beleive that.....

I have also come across a site which gives treatment for chronic urticaria and is called a Homeopathic Cure which medicine you can take even with the regular antihistamines. I will be contacting this site today and let you know the responds in case someone wants to try it. I am going to try it.... Thanks and take care all of you.
