Dear Jeff,

I stopped using aluminum based deodorants and I was immediately cured of hyper hydrosis of the armpits that I suffered from for more that 10 years!!

I suffered from a condition known as hyper hydrosis. In other words I suffered from excessive amounts of sweat coming from my armpits all the time..(yeah I know, gross right?).

Hyper hydrosis was something that I thought I would have to live with for the rest of my life because everything I had ever read about it always suggested some sort of extreme surgery or wild botox injections and never mentioned any sort of once-and-for-all cure.

It felt like such a downer always having to wear an undershirt even in 104 degree weather (I live in southern California). It was so depressing and I thought that this was my stupid fate and sorry luck, seeing as how Iím balding and wear glassesÖ I thought this sweaty armpit thing was just another blast at my sad sack life (hee hee).

Some time ago I read on your website about the correlation between aluminum in deodorants and Alzheimerís disease. Seeing as how I was in a situation where I didnít have to be around people (no job) and the girl I lived with really didnít mind my bodily scents either wayÖI quit using deodorants.

To my absolute amazement my armpits stopped sweating!!! Withing one week of having stopped using deodorants my armpits totally stopped sweating!!! Me! The guy with the stupid yellowed t shirts and the uncomfortable hassle of wearing undershirts and never being able to wear anything but lose fitting shirts over my tight undershirts. Hallelujah!!!

Within ONE WEEK!!! 10 years of being a sweaty mess of a man Iím completely free of this sick disease/condition. I can now wear anything I want even form fitting dress shirts without my stupid yellowed undershirts. I feel so liberated!!!! No more sweat even during my most perceived uncomfortable scenarios, (new job, meeting new people, having people over) absolutely no more sweat!!! I still use deodorant when I am going to be around people so as to not make any one uncomfortable from my manly scents (ha).

But it is no longer aluminum based deodorants, I use alcohol based ones. I will try natural deodorants when my alcohol based ones run out. I hope this helps some one out there because this is such a huge problem, Iíve become adept at spotting people on t.v. who sweat from their armpits and I see many ,I also see many out and about. I havenít yet figured out a tactful way to tell them about my miracle (Yes, I do consider it a miracle!).
