I would like to know if anyone has had frozen shoulder and what is your story. My story goes like this. One day I woke with a very stiff arm, I couldn't move it above my chest and was in tremendous pain. after about a month I went to the doctors. they did all kinds of xrays and then sent me to a Orthopedic Surgeon. this Surgeon gav me a cortisone shot "which didn't work" and then he took a bunch of xrays and reccomended PT for six weeks after I got a MRI. After about 4 weeks of PT the physical therapist and myself came to the conclusion that the therapy wasn't going to work. Then the Surgeon performed orthoscopic surgery on my shoulder and I started another 6 weeks of therapy. that did not work so my surgeon did another operation on my shoulder to see if I had any rotator cupp tears. After about 2 weeks of PT again I went to Pittsburgh to get a second opinion from another Orthopedic Surgeon. After looking at all the post operative reports and the xrays he came to the conclusion I had FROZEN SHOULDER, something I asked the first surgeon about on my first visit, which he denied I had. after everything Iv'e read about this deseaseI was sure thats what it was all along. It really pays to get a second opinion.
