I don't smoke anything - in fact, can't stand smoke. From a woodstove, campfire, anything, it makes me cough and choke.

But I am FOR legalization of marijuana. My grandfather was a Kentucky farmer who grew hemp during WWI. The stalks were used for rope.

If it was legal, I would definitely grow some in my yard. I love gardening and I have seen plants growing before. They're beautiful. I think the flower we call "spider plant" might be in the same plant family because the leaves look like marijuana and it smells just like it.

It seems strange to me that we are so dependent on other countries for oil when hemp seed oil could be readily available right here in this country. It probably wouldn't be enough to take care of all our needs, but it would certainly help. I've heard that Kentucky has the perfect growing conditions, climate, etc. Tweet
