Re: I agree with you guys ...
Johnny, in answer to your question..I wanted to post a portion although paraphrased, from Dr. Ann Tracy's (director of drugawareness.org) CD "Help I can't get off my Anti depressant"
Here it is:
The seratonin hypothesis is flawed: What is low in depressed individuals is not seratonin but the ability to metabolize seratonin. The research supports this.
SSRI’s work by impairing the body’s ability to metabolize seratonin, which was the initial problem.
When you cannot metabolize seratonin, it builds to higher levels: this can cause you to suffer from psychosis, schizophrenia,
Depression and anxiety.
Inhibiting someone’s ability to metabolize seratonin, creates impulsive behavior, murder and suicide.
Clinical trials of these drugs find that the rates of suicide were 65 times greater than that of the normal population. Those with suicidal tendencies had been removed.
SSRI’s impair REM sleep. And can cause a REM Sleep disorder. A person can look awake but is actually in a sleep state. It is this state that a person can act out their worst nightmare. Exp: Andrea Yates.
