Re: BOGUS interview: "a Herb nearly killed me" -"Aristolochic Acid"

I saw an anonymous person on TV saying that a "herb", called "Aristolochic Acid" had ruined her health.

Well, for one thing it ain't a herb , by that name....

They offered no background, like why did she take medicine in the first place - for what condition? and did that have anything to do with her health problems? [well, of course!!].

So, does anyone here know what this supplement is, what is is used for, and how people might get sick from using it?
