I had a rather prominent scoliosis all my life - pretty noticeable S-curve of my spine. Many years of forcible manipulation (full-spine chiropractic) did not ultimately help headaches or straighten spine at all, in fact I felt worse. Started seeing an upper cervical chiropractor about 7 years ago, and after getting atlas adjusted (top bone around brain stem - the adjustment removes brain stem pressure), my spine has almost straightened itself, which is the basis of that philosophy. She has not touched anything other than the upper cervical bones. I have had a lot of craniosacral therapy and bodywork in conjunction with that, but the "straight chiropractic" philosophy has really helped me and many others.
